I am a vintage buyer and set decorator by trade, making props and sets for advertising, film and television. In my art practice, I take a conceptual approach to the disciplines of painting, sculpture, printmaking and video. My research and installations focus on masculinity with the recurring choice of symbolic objects and cultural ephemera procured from estate sales and online marketplaces. By appropriating the "found object" and manipulating elements of vernacular visual culture, I reconfigure everyday objects in favour of new interpretations, bringing the shifting relationship between past and present into conversation.
